Objective of the Scheme
The main objective of this scheme is to provide an opportunity for senior citizens aged 60 years or above to visit holy pilgrimage sites once in their lifetime with full financial support from the government.
This scheme was started in 2013 with rail travel and later expanded to include air travel from 2016 onwards.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for this scheme, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Must be a resident of Rajasthan
- Must be 60 years or older (before 1 April 2026)
- Must not be an income tax payer
- Must not have availed this scheme before
- Must be physically and mentally fit
- Must submit a medical certificate
- Retired gazetted officers are not eligible
Rules for Spouse & Attendant
- Spouse can travel even if under 60 years
- Attendant allowed only if:
- Applicant is 70+ (train travel)
- No attendant allowed in air travel
- Age for attendant: 21–50 years
- Both husband & wife together → No attendant (except special cases)
Selection Process
- Selection will be done through computerized lottery (Draw of Lots)
- District-wise quota will be applied
- Waiting list and additional waiting list will also be prepared
